In an era where billionaire oligarchs like Elon Musk wield unchecked influence over American democracy, his America PAC stands as a stark example of how vast fortunes can warp the electoral playing field.
Launched in May 2024 under the guise of promoting “common sense” values like meritocracy and free speech, the super PAC has funneled over $118 million—91% from Musk himself—into turbocharging Donald Trump’s MAGA machine through aggressive voter turnout operations in battleground states.
What began as a shadowy effort to back a twice-impeached, felony-convicted authoritarian has since ballooned into a slush fund rewarding loyalists with millions, exposing the grotesque reality of dark money’s grip on our politics.
Musk has retweeted vicious racists, amplified the voice of dangerous antisemites, and given a platform to some of the most dangerous individuals in America using his X platform, making him one of the most valuable MAGA minions in the world.
Some enemies Musk has created within Trump’s circles have even accused the multi-billionaire of being ‘bought-off’ by China.
Vantage News has conducted an extensive investigation into Musk’s America PAC and its disbursements over the last year in order to gain a full perspective on Musk’s political interests and where they are currently aligned. During that investigation, Vantage News uncovered that Musk gave over $27 Million to assist President Donald Trump in the 2025 Wisconsin Election.
Brad Schimel, who Musk and Trump attempted to corruptly push over the finish line was roundly rejected by voters, despite potentially illegal actions by some of the most powerful men in the world, in favor of Susan Crawford. Crawford won by approximately 10 points, receiving 54–55% of the vote to Schimel’s 45–46%

We found the $27 Million scheme cooked up by Trump and Musk to be under-reported, particularly in the mainstream media, which continues to cower to Trump on key issues of transparency and truth.
Though Musk and the President have publicly feuded in the past, data shows that the billionaire, who owns the X platform, has remained as one of Trump’s main political funders. Here’s what Vantage News found.
Musk May Have Illegally Funneled $27 Million To Back Trump-Endorsed Candidate On June 30th With Little Press Coverage Using ‘America PAC’
An extensive review of Elon Musk’s America PAC found that the billionaire funneled $27 Million to President Donald Trump’s candidate in March of 2025 in order to create ‘petition incentives’ in the Wisconsin elections earlier this year.
This move came under some scrutiny at the time, but few if any media outlets described the process by which the money was disbursed. Electoral efforts by Musk and his allies like Howard Lutnick were unsuccessful in Wisconsin, as Republicans were roundly rejected by voters, and liberal Susan M. Crawford was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the 2025 election.
Musk used a shell corporation eerily called ‘United States of America Inc,’ to run a petition-based incentive program which paid Wisconsin voters to participate in the electoral process, a move that was heavily covered by the mainstream media, with some characterizing the move as ‘bribing voters.’
Musk used a private corporation to conduct election activities in a swing state, unregistered with the state of Wisconsin’s Board of Elections, which experts tell us could raise serious problems.

‘Oh absolutely,’ one unnamed source within the Maryland Republican Party told us. ‘There are serious concerns with both the process by which the money was reported, and the legality of the whole operation to begin with.’
The other aspect of Musk’s specific June 30th contribution which could raise serious concerns, or even violate federal and state campaign finance law, is that the election occurred on April 1st, 2025. The transaction that supposedly linked to this election did not occur until nearly July, months after the election.
What exactly was this money used for? And why has the press been so quiet about it? Musk quite literally attempted to buy an election, and may have violated several laws in doing so.
Based on our research, Musk technically could be in violation of the following State laws based on his activities with ‘United States of America Inc,’ a company which he is speculated to own…
Wisconsin State Laws Potentially Violated By Musk With $27 Million Petition Incentives
Wis. Stat. § 11.0505
Failure to register as a political committee or conduit
Any person or organization making contributions, disbursements, or incurring obligations exceeding $2,000 in a calendar year to influence elections must register as a “political committee” or “conduit” with the WEC within 10 days of exceeding the threshold. Unregistered activity is prohibited.
Wis. Stat. § 11.1102
Failure to file a registration statement
Requires organizations to submit a detailed registration statement (including treasurer designation and depository info) before accepting contributions or making disbursements for electioneering. Non-filing bars such activities.
Wis. Stat. § 11.1204
Failure to report contributions and disbursements
Post-registration, ongoing reports are mandatory; but unregistered entities cannot legally receive or spend funds for political purposes, making this a cascading violation.
Wis. Stat. § 12.03 & § 12.04
Engaging in unregistered electioneering or prohibited practices
Prohibits electioneering (e.g., distributing materials or influencing voters) without proper authorization; extends to organizations aiding such acts without state oversight.
Federal Laws Potentially Violated By Musk In His 2025 Wisconsin Election Scheme
Vantage News also discovered that through his petition incentive program, Musk may have violated numerous federal campaign finance laws. Here’s what we found…
52 U.S.C. § 30103 (FECA § 303); 11 CFR § 102.1
Failure to register as a political committee
Any organization receiving/spending >$1,000 in a calendar year on federal contributions/expenditures (e.g., ads naming federal candidates or voter drives tied to federal races) must register with the FEC via Statement of Organization (Form 1) within 10 days. Unregistered activity is illegal.
52 U.S.C. § 30104 (FECA § 304); 11 CFR § 104
Failure to report receipts and disbursements
Registration triggers quarterly/periodic reporting; unregistered entities cannot lawfully handle funds, leading to prohibited “expenditures” (e.g., uncoordinated spending influencing federal elections).
11 CFR § 100.5(a)-(c); § 102.5
Operating without treasurer/designated agent
No committee can accept funds or spend without a registered treasurer; unregistered corporate/organizational activity (e.g., by a Musk-owned company) counts toward the $1,000 threshold and mandates immediate compliance.
52 U.S.C. § 30118 (FECA § 316)
Corporate/union prohibitions on direct contributions without safeguards
If the company is a corporation, direct contributions to federal candidates are banned; unregistered independent expenditures (e.g., election ads) still require disclosure, and non-compliance violates anti-circumvention rules.
What Kind Of Penalties Could Musk Face, And Will It Happen?
The civil penalties for Musk’s federal violations alone could amount up to $20,000+ per violation (adjusted for inflation; ~$25,000 in 2025), plus twice the amount of prohibited contributions/expenditures. They could also include criminal penalties for knowing/willful violations include fines up to $250,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment.
Musk has become one of the MAGA ‘untouchables’ under the second Trump Administration, with Cabinet officials such as Attorney General Pam Bondi using her office and power to provide government protection to Tesla dealers across America, the full force of the United States government is currently geared towards protecting Musk and his allies.
Upon the 2028 Election, if Americans make the decision to revoke the privilege of the Presidency from right-wing extremists like Musk, then accountability could become an option, but only once America rids itself of MAGA and this President.
Oh, if it were anybody else… How the right would lose their minds.
How can members of the legislature, particularly those in the House of Representatives, allow Musk’s actions to go unchecked, or even mentioned?
Because sadly, most of them are on Musk’s payroll, as dozens of Republicans on Capitol Hill have accepted donations from the MAGA billionaire.
Democrat members of the body remain the only group willing to call out the epic corruption present in the Trump White House. Millions of Americans remain eager to send Democrats back to Washington with the power necessary to stop this Administration.
