Plan B

Women are worried about their reproductive freedoms in the wake of Donald Trump’s re-election, a new study show.

On November 19th, just days after the former President secured a resounding victory in the November Presidential elections, sales of morning-after abortion pills skyrocketed.

Obviously intent on stocking up ahead of a potential GOP-led assault on reproductive rights, American women are buying as many of the pills as they can get their hands on.

A telehealth provider called Wisp claimed on November 19th in an article published to the New York Times that they had prescribed an additional 10,000 doses of the drug in wake of Trump’s victory.

The President-elect is largely responsible for the overturning of Roe v. Wade, as three Justices that he placed on the Supreme Court, Amy Coney-Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh all voted as part of the Conservative block that overturned the 49-year precedent in 2022.

Contraceptive clinics across America are reporting skyrocketing sales because of the Trump victory, hinting at a lasting effect of Democrat campaign advertising which often characterized the GOP position on abortion as anti-woman.

Abortion Rights: A Key (And Lasting) Issue In The 2024 Election

Leading Democrat, California Governor Gavin Newsom went as far as to release an advertisement in which a woman is tracked down by police from a Republican state for seeking an abortion in a Democrat state.

He published another in which a woman is being held hostage in a hospital room, being forced to give birth.

The ad, which became highly controversial, sparked additional conversation about abortion restrictions in some states. See that advertisement below,

Women in America, fearing additional restrictions on reproductive care, are stocking up on abortion pills before Trump is elected.

The President-elect has denied any intention to sign a national abortion ban, and has vowed to halt his assault on reproductive rights.

Vice President Kamala Harris had vowed to make Roe V. Wade the law of the land, enshrining the rights guaranteed by that ruling as federal law.
