Born in 1961, Howard Lutnick is a multi-billionaire conservative philanthropist that has given millions of dollars to conservative causes over the last several election cycles. Lutnick, worth an astounding $2 Billion, is the acting CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald.
Fancying himself a ‘political fixer,’ Lutnick has emerged as the most influential voice in Trump world, with some even claiming that he is the ‘conductor’ of the President-elect’s ‘every decision.’

Trump Names Howard Lutnick Commerce Secretary
On November 19th, President-elect Trump tapped Wall Street billionaire Howard Lutnick as his Commerce Secretary, meaning that Lutnick will play a crucial role in overseeing Trump’s policy on trade, particularly on tariffs.
The billionaire who dumped millions of dollars inot the campaign coffers of Trump secured himself a lofty and influential cabinet position.
Many questions have already surfaced over Lutnicks’ ties to numerous businesses and industries as the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company on Wall Street. Though he has vowed to divest from his businesses, Lutnick’s long history of intricate involvement in U.S. industry raises the legitimate concern of conflicts of interest.
An extensive review of public campaign finance data by Vantage News has revealed that Lutnick is an political donor whose history can only be described as opportunistic, funding both sides of political aisle to the benefit of himself.

Trump’s Commerce Secretary Donated To Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer
Lutnick appears to have selectively funded both Democrats and Republicans in the past. The billionaire donated to both of Hillary Clinton’s unsuccessful Presidential runs in 2008 and 2016. See evidence of those donations below,
In addition to giving large donations to both of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaigns in both 2008 and 2016 (the latter in which she opposed Donald Trump), Lutnick has also given donations to U.S. Senator from New York Chuck Schumer up until 2021.

Lutnick simultaneously funded the most prominent New York anti-Trump Democrats while also dumping money into the Trump campaigns, highlighting a sort of frantic and desperate search for influence and power.
Absent of political belief, Lutnick appears to be the worst kind of opportunist.

Vantage News can reveal that Lutnick has donated over $1.8 Million to entities controlled by House Speaker Mike Johnson since Johnson took office as House Speaker in October of 2023. Speaker Johnson, a vocal critic of women’s rights, will be an important cog in pushing the Trump agenda through the House of Representatives in Trump’s coming Administration, and it just so happens that billionaire Howard Lutnick, who Trump has chosen to serve in his cabinet, has loaded the pockets of the Republican House Speaker.

Howard Lutnick May Have Been Responsible For Pushing J.D. Vance As Vice President
It is rumored that Lutnick may have played a disproportiantely influential role in the President-elect’s selection of U.S. Senator from Ohio J.D. Vance as his running mate. Trump was reportedly considering choosing U.S. Senator from Florida Marco Rubio and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, but ultimately decided to choose Vance.
Lutnick and Vance have a storied relationship. When the duo appeared at the 9/11 memorial service in September, Lutnick could be seen whispering into the ear of the Vice Presidential nominee.
