Marco Rubio

The Secretary of State is an instrumental position in Washington D.C. that often ends up playing a consequential role in determining the overall foreign policy direction of any Administration. That’s why it was surprising when former President Donald Trump’s selection of Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State did not receive the media scrutiny it truly deserved.

Though it is understandable that the mainstream media has not had time to catch up, especially with such ridiculous other selections as Pete Hegseth (a Fox News host) for Defense Secretary, dog-murdering Kristi Noem as Homeland Security, and accused-child predator Congressman Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, Rubio truly deserves a thorough investigation.

Rubio has been picked for a crucial role, and the individuals that have recently been funneling money to the Veteran Republican Senator leave a great cause for concern. After all, these donors may end up having a large influence over the foreign policy of the incoming Trump Administration.

The Florida Senator primarily fundraises through his several political action committees, along with his Senatorial campaign account. His PACs are called ‘Rubio Victory Fund’ and ‘Reclaim America PAC’.

Here are some of Rubio’s largest donors who may be seeking to have a large impact on the foreign policy of the Trump Administration.

Thomas E. McInerney, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Of Bluff Point Associates

Thomas McInerney is the CEO and Co-Founder of a private equity firm based in Connecticut called Bluff Point Associates. McInerney is nothing short of a Republican megadonor, having given millions of dollars in recent years to prominent Republican committees and candidates.

The prominent businessman has given over $11,600 to Rubio in recent months. See evidence of that contribution to the Florida Senator via FEC.gov below,

Most notable in 2024 is the large sum of money McInerney as given to former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton political action committee ‘John Bolton PAC’. Since the beginning of 2023, McInerney has given over $450,000 to Bolton’s political action committee.

Why would one of Rubio’s recent top supporters be giving nearly $500,000 to a PAC committed to ‘stopping Trump’ in the 2024 Election while simultaneously supporting Trump’s pick for Secretary of State?

See McInerney’s donations to Bolton below,

FEC.gov

The Republican donor has also given $200,000 to Republican Senator John Cornyn during this election cycle, see evidence of those donations below,

What kind of influence does McInerney seek in the incoming Trump Administration, and what kind of power does he hold over Republican Senator Marco Rubio?

Peter Berger, Founder & Managing Partner At Siris Capital

Peter Berger

Peter Berger is the Founder and Managing Partner at Siris Capital based in Stuart, Florida. He has given a total of over $20,000 to Senator Marco Rubio in recent months. See evidence of Berger’s donation to the Florida Senator courtesy of the federal campaign finance database below.

FEC

Berger, in addition to funding Senator Marco Rubio, also funded disgraced Democrat New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez in 2023. Menendez was indicted in 2024 for taking bribes from several entities in exchange for his political support.

The Senator reportedly accepted cars, cash, and even gold bars for his political support. In 2023, Rubio donor Berger gave a donation to Menendez’s campaign. See evidence of that donation below,

FEC.gov

Just as with McInerney, Berger’s simultaneous donations to anti-Trump politicians do not coincide with their funding of Trump’s pick for Secretary of State.

Vantage News also found evidence that Berger donated to Democrat Richie Torres’ 2024 Congressional campaign. Torres served as a surrogate for the Harris campaign, appearing on media channels to correctly criticize the Trump campaign’s dangerous rhetoric throughout the campaign.

See evidence of that donation from Berger to Torres below,

FEC.gov

These are just a few of the individuals who have funneled money to Marco Rubio’s many campaign apparatuses over the last several months. Their donations to Rubio, given his appointment in the Trump Administration, make absolutely no sense.

Is Marco Rubio going to serve as a much-needed roadblock to the dangerous aspirations of the newly-elected President-elect?

The Florida Senator briefly spoke to the press after news had broke that President-elect Trump had selected Rubio as his Secretary of State. Here’s what the Senator had to say,

His donors surely indicate that the circles in which he runs are a far cry from the ‘America First’ group making promises within the Trump camp.
