Tragedy struck at a holiday brand event in Los Angeles, California last week, when believed Disney influencer Dominique Brown tragically passed away at the themed party due to a sever allergic reaction.
The event was hosted by the retailed BoxLunch. It was hosted at Vibiana, a cathedral-turned-event space located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
Paramedics were called to the scene, and the DJ of the event even reportedly turned off the music at the event in order to request that somebody in the crowd volunteer their Epipen for the young influencer to use.
Brown was best known for creating Black Girl Disney, a space for fellow Black Disney influencers seeking community in a predominantly white niche.
She had over 21,000 followers on her Instagram page, which she posted to just moments before she tragically past away.
Her post is captioned, “I’m just here to say, get the obnoxious plush hat,” showing a video of the influencer wearing a hat which depicts the Disney character ‘Winnie the Pooh’.

At just 34 years old, Brown had already made a tremendous impact in her industry. The fact that the world has lost her so soon is truly a tragedy.
BoxLunch released the following statement on Brown’s death, saying,
“Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time.”
A spokesperson for the Vibiana venue released the following statement on the tragic event,
“As we await further, more conclusive information about this tragic incident, we remain fully committed to our ongoing and comprehensive internal review and to collaborating closely with all parties involved to understand the circumstances surrounding this devastating loss”
